Once in a while, there's a tattoo in the collective gallery that's commentable.
This is the kind of tattoo I like most: artistic looking and not too fine-detailed for its size. I don't have a tattoo myself [yet] because I'm not old enough (and I dunno how my life's gonna turn out) but I wanna get one that's fairly sizeable.
However, my dad's a photographer by profession, so he's kinda passed some of his knowledge on to me. So lemme give a few helpful hints.
First of all, your focus is pretty good. It's not spot on, but a lot of the details that need to be noticed are noticeable. That and your background (the wall behind the person) isn't distracting at all. Kudos on those two points.
The glare there on the dragon's chest takes a bit away from the tattoo's visibility though. Overhead lights (especially fluorescent ) are a pain when it comes to glare off rounded surfaces. These problems can be solved, though. A simple makeshift diffuser like a bedsheet or thin window curtain works wonders.
My dad's in-home photography studio (which can be stored in a small 2'x3' crate) is made up of PVC pipe and cut-up bedsheet fabric. But the lightstands he uses means his entire studio takes up a 2'x4' box in his woodshop when it's not in use.
I think I'll fav this. I don't fav many tattoos, but there are a few that I like enough to have them.
